As a family-owned business, we take great pride in working together. Tommie Wells, the founder of Lakeside Florist, opened her business in 2000, and in 2012, her son Preston joined the family business as the store manager. With our combined passion and expertise, we have established Lakeside Florist as a beloved and reliable presence in the Rockwall community.

Meet Our Team
Tommie Wells
Owner & Founder
In 2000, Tommie purchased a flower shop called Kris’s Kreations located on Ridge Road. She changed the name to Lakeside Florist, and her crash course in business ownership began. Working with flowers everyday is her passion because she considers them to be God’s beautiful handiwork. She is the proud mother to her twin sons, Austin and Preston, and she has been married to her husband Dennis for 41 years.
Dennis Wells
Co-Owner
Dennis has always been supportive of his wife’s dream to own a flower shop. After decades working in the auto industry, he retired in 2020 to help run Lakeside Florist. Dennis volunteers for any and every job around the shop, from delivery driving to customer service to public relations. He’s also our resident “plant dad” and you can usually find him selling a wide selection of plants at local community events.
Preston Wells
Manager
Preston joined the family business after he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree from UNT in 2012. He ensures everything runs smoothly at the shop, and he has even trained to become a talented floral designer. When he’s not busy helping customers choosing flowers for the perfect occasion, you can frequently watch Preston perform at the Rockwall Community Playhouse. His wife Victoria and their son Ryker are the greatest loves of his life.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your order, delivery or any part of your shopping process with Lakeside Florist, please contact us at 972-771-4600. We will happily offer a variety of alternatives including redelivery of a new design or a full refund. Feel free to discuss options with our team. Substitution Policy
On occasion, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. We will take extra care to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. In single-flower arrangements like an all-rose bouquet, we will make every attempt to match the flower type but may substitute with another color.
