Calling all flower enthusiasts! Have you ever wanted to learn the art of floral arranging? Join us at Lakeside Florist for our fun and informative DIY floral classes! Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, our classes are designed to inspire your creativity and teach you the skills to create beautiful floral arrangements.

What to Expect in Our DIY Floral Classes

Time

Unwind and relax after work with our fun and creative flower-arranging workshops! Perfect for a solo activity or a night out with friends, our classes start at 7:00 PM and last about an hour and a half.

We’ll take a break in between for you to grab some refreshments and browse our boutique for unique gift items. The exact timing of the workshop may vary depending on the complexity of your arrangement and your skill level, but there’s no pressure to rush. Take your time and enjoy the process of creating something beautiful!

Food & Drinks

Enjoy delicious appetizers and pizza while you learn. On special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas, we like to make themed snacks from our owner Tommie’s super secret recipe book. We also have samples of wine produced at local Texas vineyards in the Hill Country. We also have bottled water and various sodas for you to sip while making your arrangement.

Hands-On Instruction

Our manager Preston will personally guide you through the process of creating a stunning floral arrangement, sharing tips and tricks along the way. In our classes, you will pick up basic skills to carry with you later if you wish to pursue flower arranging as a hobby or career. Every class is taught the same way, whether you have done a class before or are brand new, so that you may practice what you have learned without having to worry about falling behind. Remember, it’s not a race! We want you to take your time so you can make yourself the perfect arrangement.

All Materials Provided

We’ll provide all the flowers, tools, and materials you need, so you can focus on having fun and expressing your creativity. Just bring yourself (and friends) to our DIY floral classes and come ready to learn and have fun!

Take Home Your Creation

At the end of the class, you’ll take home your beautiful floral arrangement to enjoy or give as a gift. This way the class feels extra special and personal. Preston and the crew at Lakeside Florist will be happy to assist you with tweaking your arrangement as well, but our motto is if you like it, then we do too!

Private Classes DIY Floral Classes

Want to do something special for your Mom’s birthday? Have a friend who’s getting married and looking for bachelorette party ideas? Sign up for a private class! Private classes are available year-round and cost $50 per person. You need at least 8 people to reserve a class date, and like the public classes, food and drinks are provided. If you want to bring a birthday cake, you are most welcome to.

We also do Bachelorette DIY classes, where the bridal party gets to make the bridesmaid bouquets. It’s a great way to make memories, and there’s nothing better than being hands-on when it comes to your wedding flowers. We will make the bridal bouquet, of course.
